What each student does
Names the job they want
A student uploads a CV, or answers a few questions if they don't have one, and names the role they are aiming at. Acelro compares what they can already do with what employers ask for in that role.
Builds a project toward it
The gap becomes a project brief, set out in steps. Each step is checked before the next one opens, so students can work around lectures and part-time jobs. If a project needs software, it often runs in the browser.
Graduates with work to show
The finished work is reviewed, and the student can put it on their portfolio and share it as a link. An employer opens the work itself instead of taking a grade or a badge on trust.

A credential students can earn before they graduate
A certification is one of the few employability signals a student can earn on their own timetable, and an employer can verify it. On Acelro the exam becomes a module on that student's roadmap, ordered around what they can already do and sitting next to the skills their target roles ask for, rather than a separate course bought somewhere else.
Hands-on practice, where we have it, runs in a hosted environment in the browser, so a student on a borrowed laptop is not shut out of it and there is nothing for IT to install.
Exams cost money and students should know what they are committing to before they book one, so every guide is public and leads with the certifying body's own published figures: the format, the length, the fee, how long the certificate lasts, and the weight of every domain. Read the exam guides.

Data stays in the UK
Student data is stored in the UK. A CV is parsed for skill data and held against that student's account only.
A data processing agreement first
We sign a pilot data processing agreement with your university before any student starts.
Nothing to connect during a pilot
A pilot doesn't need a connection to your learning management system. Students join from your invitation and sign in to their own accounts.
Nothing for IT to install
Acelro runs in the browser, so a cohort can start about a week after the pilot agreement is signed, without an IT project in front of it.

Does this replace our careers service or careers platform?
Neither. It sits alongside both and adds capacity to your team. Your advisers keep their students, and Acelro gives every student a plan and practical work between appointments.
What does a pilot cost?
Nothing. We haven't launched and we aren't selling anything yet, so there is no price to quote.
How do you handle student data and GDPR?
Student data is stored in the UK. A student's CV is parsed for skill data and stored against their account only. We don't share it with employers unless the student chooses to, and we don't use it to train models outside Acelro. We sign a pilot data processing agreement with you before any students start.
How do you verify students belong to our institution?
Students join from an invitation you send, one at a time or as a CSV upload, so the cohort matches your records.
Do we need to integrate with our LMS?
No. A pilot doesn't need a connection to your learning management system. Acelro runs in the browser, so there is nothing for IT to install, and students sign in to their own accounts. Three connections are there when you want them, set up with us, and a pilot needs none of them. Students can open Acelro from your LMS over LTI 1.3, in a new window, with no separate Acelro login. Acelro enrols them in the course you linked, automatically. We register Acelro with your LMS for you, and we don't email students who come in through your LMS. Completions from students in your Acelro organisation go to your learning record store as xAPI statements, which identify each student by their Acelro account id, not by name or email. Those statements don't include students who open Acelro from your LMS. We retry failed deliveries, and your admin settings show what was delivered and what failed. A learning experience platform can also connect to our API to list the courses you publish and send students into them with signed launch links.
What reporting does the career centre get?
The admin view shows who has started, each student's roadmap progress and quiz scores, and the skills your cohort is still short of for the roles they want. You can filter by team and export progress as a CSV. It doesn't show students' projects: a student shares finished work with you as a link.
Which subject areas does this cover?
Skill requirements come from live job postings and O*NET data. Projects follow the role each student is aiming at, across business, computing, engineering, design and other professional areas.
How does a pilot work?
It runs for one term (about 12 weeks) with one cohort. We agree it in writing first, with a data processing agreement and the measures you want to see. Then comes about a week of setup with your careers team, the students' time on Acelro, and a review at the end of what they built. Nothing commits you to buying anything afterwards.
