Accessibility

Acelro is a product of SLJ Labs Limited. It is built to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at a large text size, and with animation turned off. We aim at WCAG 2.2 level AA.

We have not had an independent audit, so this page is not a conformance claim. It is a record of what we have built and tested ourselves, and of what we know we have not checked.

What works today

• Skip links. Public pages, the learning app and the admin area each carry a skip-to-content link near the start of the tab order.
• Reduced motion. Animation respects the operating system setting. Where a transition carries meaning, the end state is shown immediately instead of being animated to.
• Visible focus. Links, buttons, fields, selects and text areas draw a focus ring when reached by keyboard.
• Target sizes. We build touch controls and list rows to 44 CSS pixels, above the 24 by 24 pixel minimum in WCAG 2.2. We have not measured every control against it.
• Structure and labels. Pages use real headings, landmarks and form labels rather than styled text, so a screen reader can navigate by them.
• Live lessons carry a transcript. Spoken lessons show what is being said as text, and a lesson can be worked through without speaking.
• Status is written, not only coloured. Where we show a state, we name it in words beside the colour.

What we have not solved yet

• Generated lesson content. Lesson bodies and their illustrations are generated for you. We check the shape of what comes back, but we cannot yet promise that every image carries a useful description or that every heading level is in order.
• Interactive lesson widgets. Some lessons include an embedded interactive. We have not verified every one of them with a keyboard alone.
• Non-text contrast. Text contrast is checked. We have not measured every non-text pair, such as chart fills and the borders of small indicators.
• No audit and no VPAT. There has been no third-party assessment, and we do not publish a VPAT. If you need one for procurement, write to us and we will tell you honestly where we are.

Report a barrier

If something on Acelro blocked you, tell us. Email hello@acelro.com with the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to reply within five working days.

We treat an accessibility report as a defect, not as feedback. If we cannot fix it quickly we will say so, and say what we can offer in the meantime.

The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025. If our reply does not resolve things for you, each EU member state has a market-surveillance authority you can raise it with.
